Today’s March Madness free picks has:

Virginia Tech-Miami Florida UNDER 115

Our true line (previously known as outlaw line) is 111. The true line is what the line would be without public perception or bad line moves.  With a total that low, do not dare underestimate how big a four-point difference is. default

Virginia Tech has gone under 19-of-21 with six of their last seven going under by double-digits. In fact, a jaw-dropping 17 times they have gone under by at least 10 points.

Miami has also been a huge under team, going under 15-of-22.  Tech shoots 2.2 percent below what their opponent’s normally allow, but hold teams to a whopping four percentage points below their normal scoring average.

Miami is -.3 on offense, but better yet holds teams to 3.8 percent below their normal shooting percentage on defense.  The teams combined for just 97 points in their most recent meeting.  Miami scored just 15 points in the first half.

Tech is able to slow down the Hurricanes guards, which is the key. Miami struggles inside as five forwards total just 21.0 points per outing. As demonstrated above, the Hokies lock down shooters.
