Super Bowl 48 odds have been posted. The game in East Rutherford, NJ (though the media is assured to say, “New York” ad nausea) and potential cold weather could be a factor. The line opened up with Seattle as a one-point favorite at most sportsbooks with a total of 48. Money immediately flowed in on Denver and has seen the Broncos as much as a (-2.5) favorite. The total has remained steady at 47.5, though a 48 has been spotted at some offshore houses.
|Seattle Seahawks||+1||Over 47.5|
|Denver Broncos||-1||Under 47.5|
Currently the consensus odds have Denver (-1) with a total of 47.5. Grandmaster Sports Handicapper Joe Duffy of OffshoreInsiders.com expects early money to come in on Denver and for the total to drop a bit, but probably not much until weather forecasts come in early next week for Super Bowl XLVIII
The Broncos and Peyton Manning routed Tom Brady and the New England Patriots 26-16, while the Seahawks held on to edge San Francisco 23-17.
Proposition bets will be posted Monday on gimmick odds such as the coin flip. Fantasy football type proposition bets will be released by most sportsbooks about a week before the game, as will the infamous “wacky wagers.”
