Game 1: Orlando Magic @ Atlanta Hawks – Saturday, March 30
When making a studious attempt at breaking down various betonline.com reviews, you will realize that while the Hawks are a wobbly and untrustworthy team against Eastern Conference elites, they shouldn’t find too many problems at home against Orlando. Yes, Atlanta has fallen to sixth place in the Eastern Conference after inhabiting the fifth spot for the past few weeks, but Orlando shouldn’t pose too much of a roadblock. The Magic have lost nine of their last 10 games, a run of futility matched by only one team in the Eastern Conference in that same span of time (the Detroit Pistons). Orlando simply can’t get enough scoring from a depleted roster that, when whole, wasn’t very substantial to begin with. A combination of suspensions and injuries has reduced the Magic to an even smaller, more impotent team, but the scary thing in all this is that Orlando never had many resources to begin with in this 2012-2013 season, following the departure of Dwight Howard to the Los Angeles Lakers. This is Atlanta’s game to lose from every conceivable angle.
NBA Betting Pick: Atlanta
Game 2: Charlotte Bobcats @ Philadelphia 76ers – Saturday, March 30
When making a bet on sports, it’s sensible to pick the team that is fighting harder at the end of the regular season, even though it has nothing to play for. The 76ers will not make the playoffs. Their season is a bust, no matter what happens in the next three and a half weeks. However, while everyone in and around the NBA knows that this team is running on fumes and is playing with the realization that Andrew Bynum will probably never play a single game for the franchise, Philadelphia is continuing to play hard for head coach Doug Collins. The Sixers have won four of their past 10 games, which doesn’t seem impressive, but they’ve beaten the Indiana Pacers, lost to the Miami Heat by only four games, and lost at Denver by only one point after leading by nine with nearly a minute left in regulation. Philadelphia’s level of play has been better than its recent run of results would suggest. A team that is competing with vigor and resilience this late in a meaningless season should be given the benefit of the doubt from a sports betting perspective. Charlotte will not outfight Philadelphia here, especially not on the road.
NBA Betting Pick: Philadelphia
Game 3: Memphis Grizzlies @ Minnesota Timberwolves – Saturday, March 30
If this were an online casino game, you would want to make a sizable bet on the Grizzlies, and the betting websites around North America that take a lot of action on NBA games are probably not going to give you a contrary opinion. This is an easy game to pick. The Grizzlies are almost a 50-win team right now; they’ll probably win close to 55 by the time the regular season is over. Yet, they’re fifth in the Western Conference and have a lot of incentives on the table. They really need to get the fourth seed at the very least, if not the third seed, in the West. They should be motivated to play well, and since Minnesota lacks Kevin Love, Memphis’ power – with Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph – should be far too overwhelming for the Timberwolves.
