NBA Odds Opening Night: Celtics-Heat, Mavericks-Lakers, Wizards-Cavs Picks

The 2012-13 NBA season opens up Tuesday and NBA handicappers odds have been posted. The first contest is the Washington Wizards at Cleveland Cavaliers on the NBA Network at 7 ET. Then the NBA on TNT initial doubleheader commences with the Boston Celtics vs. Miami Heat in which features Ray Allen playing his first game against his former team. Allen signed with Miami in the offseason after five years with the Celtics.

The hand-picked nightcap has Dwight Howard and Steve Nash joining Kobe Bryant and company as the Dallas Mavericks are at the LA Lakers.  Up and coming Cleveland is a (-5.5) home favorite to Washington, with a total of 191. The defending NBA Champion Heat are (-7) with a total of 184. Finally the Lakers are laying just (-8.5) at home to Dallas with a total of 187.

The single-digit spread will surprise many considering Dallas star Dirk Nowitzki is out for several weeks with a knee injury. Wizards guard John Wall is also out opening night. Sports Betting Secrets eBook believes the Lakers will likely tip-off as a double-digit favorite.

Wednesday night odds, which features nine contests, have also been posted, though not on all sportsbooks.
