Free College Football Picks: Idaho vs. LSU, Arkansas vs. Alabama Handicapper Plays

There are a few elite football handicappers with premium picks we are releasing here. Start out with the real Matt Rivers, who has for the first time in his career, two 500 thousand star plays. He also has a 200 thousand star on Arkansas.

Tyler Wilson is going to miss and the bubble has burst a little for John L. Smith and his Razorbacks. Alabama is also deserving of being the number one team in the land and with the maturation of AJ McCarron the Crimson Tide could go back to back National Championships and nobody would bat an eyelash.

With the above said though it’s still a bit too many points on the road in the SEC. Sure Wilson is great and a huge miss and losing to UL Monroe certainly could hurt the confidence of the team as a whole but it’s not like the Hogs still don’t have a bunch of blue chip studs led by Knile Davis. Arkansas is still a major SEC program and has enough talent to be a ranked team and compete from start to finish today.

Alabama is great but they’re also far from being the perfect team. The hyped offensive line may be all that but they also just allowed an incredible six sacks against Western Kentucky. I’m not sure how that happened but it did. That may have been more of an anomaly than a trend but it still is what it is.

Nick Saban will have his team ready for sure but just a few week’s ago this before the season spread was only about five, yes as in south of a touchdown. For it to have ballooned to around three touchdowns is just too much, Wilson or no Wilson and loss to UL Monroe or no loss to UL Monroe.

I expect the Razorbacks to put in a gutty effort and be in the neighborhood of 27-17 in the end. It’s an SEC former top 10 team at home for gosh sakes.

Now to the Canadien Crew. They are taking the big number with Idaho. Idaho Vandals vs #3 LSU Tigers

Odds: LSU -43

Honey Badger? What Honey Badger? The #3 LSU Tigers (2-0, 1-1 ATS) are already having a bang up year while their star sits in the stands. This week they’re facing off against a severely outmatched Idaho Vandals (0-2, 1-1 ATS) squad in confidence-building non-conference action.

How big is the gap between the SEC powerhouse/BCS Contender Tigers and the WAC-basement dwelling Vandals? How about, LSU has outscored their last two opponents by a combined total of 82-17?

So how do the Vandals stack up in the scoring department? They’ve been outscored 41-17 this season and have just a single touchdown to show for their efforts.

It’s hard to overstate how good LSU is in comparison to almost every other DIV 1 team, let alone Vandals. But quality isn’t really the question when handicapping this game. The big questions are how hard will LSU play and what incentives do they have to run up the score?

We’re not expecting the Tigers to be putting a whole lot of effort into this game. They’ve got a far more important, conference matchup next week against Auburn. It’s doubtful that they’ll be willing to risk much human capital on the Vandals with so much season to go. (And so many critical SEC matchups.)

As a contender for the National Championship, LSU has every reason to put up as many points as possible on the hapless Vandals. Covering a huge line like that isn’t out of the realm of possibility, but a single, late game Idaho scoring effort would put it pretty much out of reach. Remember, by the time the fourth quarter rolls around, LSU could be suiting up fans and beer vendors.

We generally advise staying away from games like entirely, it’s just too risky to be part of a well-researched, season-long betting strategy. But if you really feel like gambling on it, take the Vandals at as a big a number as you can find.

The Pick: Idaho +43

Matt Rivers is making history today. Forget about my “handicapping career”, this is the biggest day in my “playing career” as I am putting my money where my mouth is and going beyond ballistic today. I have been destroying that Crookie for a long time now and the last few weeks have been absolutely no exception as evidenced by winning 12 of the past 17. A whopping four plays today as I do even better than the 3-0-1 last week with the 1 being the Savannah State-Florida State no action weather game.

Not one but two 500,000* winners here along with another 500,000* in profit in two other plays. 500,000* Virginia Tech-Pittsburgh and James Madison-West Virginia along with a 300,000* Florida-Tennessee plus a 200,000* Alabama-Arkansas. I am locked and loaded and ready to do what I do. If there is ever one day that you must listen to me this is that day! Get the picks now
