As college football betting previews podcasts are continually updated, sports bettors are still dominating MLB. Premium picks are below from several of the nation’s top sports handicappers.
First there is OffshoreInsiders.com Senior Handicapper, Stevie Vincent, the founder of forensic sports handicapping:
LEVEL 4 PLAY is on TAMPA over Texas
Forensic team and pitching information on this game; last five appearances (minimum of three if pitcher has less than five starts): Shields 2.15 ERA, 0.66 WHIP, Darvish 6.82 ERA, 1.61 WHIP
Now to Matt Rivers who has the Boston Red Sox. Ricky Nolasco has struggled and is nothing compared to the great Stephen Strasburg. I 100 percent get that. The Washington hurler though is not going to go more than six innings, if he goes past five, and with Giancarlo Stanton healthy and on fire to go along with Jose Reyes and Carlos Lee there’s enough there for Ozzie’s club to compete in this thing.
The Nats are awesome and the record shows just that. But things have not been as good during this four game slide and therefore why not grab this handsome price with an at least talented fish squad. Davey Johnson’s team is talented but Mike Morse is banged up and it’s not like they are the 1917 Yankees just yet or anything that is invincible.
The Nats do win this game more than they don’t as Strasburg, Storen, Clippard and the visitors have the far superior pitching. But Florida has enough to keep this thing tight enough making me take my chances at this solid underdog number.
The wunderkinds of the Canadien Crew check in as well. Chicago White Sox (-141) at Baltimore Orioles, Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. ET
Chris Sale is slated to start for Chicago. The southpaw keeps on piling up the victories, and he’s 15-4 with a 2.65 ERA on the year. Sale is has been pretty sharp in August. He’s 3-1 in four starts, and he allowed just five runs in his three wins not to mention just a single walk in three outings combined. Sale is coming off a fantastic start, allowing just a single run in 7.2 innings while racking up 13 Ks in a 2-1 win over the Yankees. Sale is making is first career start against the Orioles. He’s allowed three runs in 5.1 relief innings over his young career (six total appearances).
Chris Tillman will take the ball for Baltimore. The right-hander has made nine starts this season, going 6-2 with a 3.71 ERA. Tillman has had a few nice outings, but finding any semblance of consistency has been a struggle. He’s coming off a solid outing against Texas, winning after allowing three runs in 6.2 innings of work. But Tillman lasted just 10.1 total innings in his previous two starts, allowing nine runs. He hasn’t faced the White Sox this season, which is probably a good thing. Tillman is 1-1 with an 8.22 ERA in two career starts against Chicago.
Sale has clearly been the better pitcher this year. Tillman has been solid, but you can’t trust the guy.
