Romney’s VP Choice? Nikki Haley Beats Favorite Tim Pawlenty Says Expert

POTUS 2012 odds have a different view on who the frontrunner is to be Mitt Romney’s choice as Vice Presidential running mate. While the media consensus seems to be leaning towards former Secretary of State Condi Rice as the presumptive favorite, has former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty as the frontrunner.

As a professional sports handicapper, who has been accurate in many political exotic bets and predictions my money it will be long shot Nikki Haley, Governor of South Carolina.

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is the only white male who looms as a strong possibility. Sorry Tim Pawlenty. Rice does not want the position, but is feigning interest to generate a buzz for Romney.

Haley would create a splash and is both a minority (Indian-American) and a women.  Though the popular Christie would not be a shock, in all likelihood that days of two white men on the same ticket are over. Here are the latest official betting odds on the choice:

Tim Pawlenty +200

Rob Portman +300

Marco Rubio +350

Condoleeza Rice +800

Bobby Jindal +1000

Paul Ryan +1500

Chris Christie +2000
