Two Free Baseball Betting Picks

Senior Handicapper Matt Rivers of OffshoreInsiders.com has a free pick winner is on the New York Yankees.

Reasoning: There’s not much rocket science here with this play. James Shields is very good and sometimes great and probably has better stuff than Ivan Nova. But the New York righty is pretty solid himself and all the guy does is win game after game.

Then you have the lineups and it’s truly not even close, even if the Bombers did fall a run short yesterday. The Yankees give you pop up and down the lineup with Cano, Granderson, Jeter, Arod, Teixeira and Swisher and the Rays give you very little with Evan Longoria still out. I don’t mind some of the punch and judy lefties that can get a knock or two in for the Rays but all in all the hitting advantage is way too favorable in our direction and at around a pick with a winner in Nova on the hill is a total no-brainer must play in the end.

Rivers pick: New York Yankees

Now to The Canadian Crew. San Francisco Giants at Washington Nationals (-127) Tuesday at 6:35 p.m. ET

Jordan Zimmerman will take the ball for Washington.  The righty has been incredibly consistent, giving up four runs or less in every start this season.  However, Zimmerman has a 4-6 record despite a sparkling 2.77 ERA.  He is coming off a win though, as he allowed just one run in seven innings against the Rockies.  Zimmerman has faced the Giants four times in his career, going 2-1 with a 3.60 ERA.

The Giants will go with Tim Lincecum.  Lincecum has wildly failed expectations this season, going 3-8 with a 5.60 ERA.  But while the right-hander’s numbers are quite ugly, he’s actually showed signs of turning a corner in the past week or so.  Lincecum allowed three runs in six innings against Oakland two starts ago, including five straight scoreless innings to close out his day.  He followed that up with seven shutout innings in a win over the Dodgers last week.  Lincecum has also racked up 16 strikeouts in his past two starts.  He’s had an average career against the Nationals, though, going 1-2 with a 4.14 ERA in six starts.

Zimmerman has bee the better pitcher this season, but Lincecum has turned things around.  It wouldn’t be at all surprising to see him and the Giants go on a bit of a run.

Pick:  San Francisco

Top expert pick on today’s card is from Matt Rivers. That’s right, it’s 500,000* time. I haven’t brought out the biggest weapon in my arsenal in some time, after nailing four of the last five, but the perfect match-up and play is here and I’m ready to dismantle that Crookie once again. One 500,000* absolute red-hot no-brainer is going tonight on the diamond and I’m locked and loaded. You better be as well! Click now to purchase
