Free Picks MLB; Euro 2012 Final Odds Spain vs Italy, Xavi, Fernando Torres Props

Senior Handicapper Matt Rivers of OffshoreInsiders.com has a free pick Sunday is on the Mets.

Reasoning: Clayton Kershaw has as high of an upside as quite possibly anybody in the game today. The lefty can be flat out awesome and dominate at the drop of a hat. The problem today though is that without Kemp and probably Ethier once again who is going to be able to get it done with the bats for the star southpaw? Don Mattingly’s offense may seriously be the worst in the game at this point without those guys.

The Mets continue to plug away led by David Wright and play better ball than most believed they were capable of. Terry Collins will trot Dillon Gee out there and that is a good thing. Gee is coming off of a rough start at Wrigley but before that he hurled seven straight quality starts and is a professional pitcher who is trustworthy and should rebound nicely.

It’s asking a lot for the New Yorkers to beat Kershaw as the guy is awesome. But when you are a struggling club which the Dodgers have become and you don’t have any pop in your lineup it’s worth taking a shot on the overachieving and pretty good Mets plus some coin.

Rivers winner: New York Mets

Now to the The Canadian Crew , which is having one of the greatest betting season the world has ever seen. Here is a premium pick on theHouston Astros v Chicago Cubs.

Odds: HOU +100/CHIC -110

Two of the worst teams in baseball are meeting up today at fabled Wrigley Field when the Astros and Cubs take the field. Both teams are desperately out of range from first place, but the Cubs are struggling to near next-to-last place in the NL Central. Regardless, matchups like this are often overlooked by the betting public and can offer up some real value.

No one expected much from the Houston and Chicago at the beginning of the season and both teams are delivering on that promise. Of course that doesn’t mean that they’re not capable of surprises. Chicago just grabbed two wins from the Mets, but were able to avoid the sweep by losing in a grand fashion 17-1 in the third game. Last week the Astros dominated the Indians in two of their three games.

Starting out the rotation for Chicago is Travis Woods (2-3, 3.54 ERA). Woods is a young guy who struggled early in his early starts, but has been delivering quality starts regardless. His last two starts were wins and he put on a real pitching clinic in the New Yorks series. In that effort he threw seven scoreless innings and struck out six batters in the process.

Woods is rapidly getting the hang of big league pitching and could be a major factor in a Chicago win today.

Taking the mound for Houston is Wandy Rodriguez (6-5, 3.52). Rodriguez is a solid starter, but he’s been taking longer and longer to find his way lately. While he’s very capable of throwing strikes, he’s also been giving up a lot of hits and runs. Against San Diego on Monday he allowed five runs on eight hits. A slow start at Wrigley will mean big trouble for Houston.

After their run in New York, the Cubs are perfectly primed for a homestand against the worst road team in all of baseball. Look for Woods to continue improving and put up a win for Chicago today.

The Pick: Chicago Cubs -110

Rivers premium card says the run is still golden despite a rare egg yesterday on the Angels. It was ugly but also not the end of the world. I have been winning over and over and over again and more of it right here. A pair of 300,000* fire hot underdogs starting in the 2:00 hour and the 4:00 hour. Here we go baby! Click now to purchase
