OffshoreInsiders.com Senior Sports Handicapper Matt Rivers was the winningest all-time handicapper on a large network of sites. He has a free pick on Thursday and it is once again on the Atlanta Braves (-116) to Arizona.
Reasoning: I win this comp play yesterday on the Braves and will go right back to the well today expecting an Atlanta sweep.
Jurrjens was lights out for the first few months last season and mysteriously just lost it in the first month of this season. But the righty was just called back up after spending time in Gwinnett and was extremely sharp on the road at Boston last week in an almost impossible inter-league situation. So I’m going to back him again here against an Arizona team which is just not as good outside of the desert.
Trevor Bauer is a potential future star and will get his first taste of the big leagues today. The kid has an immense upside and can strike out a ton of batters. He is somewhat like Tim Lincecum but even Lincecum stunk in that first start against Philadelphia. I can’t fathom Bauer is just going to come to Turner Field and light it up against the really good and hot Bravos with pros like McCann, Chipper, Prado, Bourn, Uggla, Heyward, etc. greeting him.
Atlanta has been a little feast or famine this season. When they stink they can stink but when they are going well they go really well. It’s been the latter of late and in the end this price seems cheap enough for me to back Hotlanta.
Top expert pick on this game: Atlanta
Rivers likes 21 of 29 winning days after the extremely rare 1-2 losing day on Wednesday. The Indians could have come through plus that big number for another monster day but fell short by the slimmest of margins, 5-4, leaving the bases loaded in the 9th inning. No worries though as losing for a second straight day is as out of the question as Liberace was straight. One play on the diamond and one on the pitch, yes as in soccer. 300,000* White Sox-Yankees along with a 200,000* Germany-Italy. Bang and bang! Click now to purchase
