Sports Picks: Yankees vs. Nationals, Orioles vs. Braves

Two top handicappers from OffshoreInsiders.com, home of the new sports betting book Gospel, “Sports Betting Secrets, Handicapping Myths, Wagering Tips.” The first is from the Canadian Crew

New York Yankees @ Washington Nationals

The New York Yankees and Washington Nationals will get together in the nation’s capital for the second game of a three game series. The Yankees come in with a 38-25 record; first place in the American League East. Washington comes in with a 38-24 record and lead the Braves by 4.5 games.

The Washington Nationals have been the best pitching team in Major League Baseball. The team earned run average is 2.94, and their WHIP is 1.14. Washington on the offensive side has seen production from Adam LaRoche, with 11 homeruns and 42 runs batted in.

For the Yankees, they have been red hot. Their production has come from the offense, anchored by Derek Jeter and Curtis Granderson. Jeter is batting .320, while Granderson has crushed 20 homeruns. Left hander Andy Pettitte will take the mound for the Yankees, and take on Jordan Zimmerman.

The New York Yankees come into the game with an 18-13 road record on the season. The Nationals have been pretty good when playing at home, as they have won 18 of 28 games. We like the Nationals to get better starting pitching, and come away with the win over the Yankees.

The pick: Washington Nationals +100

The real Matt Rivers of OffshoreInsiders.com check in with a free pick for Saturday on the Baltimore Orioles.

I am a huge fan of Brandon Beachy and believe the guy has an extremely bright future in this league. In fact I think that Beachy is already borderline great and a guy who could strike out a ton of batters and dazzle in any outing. That even may ring true tonight but in the end the price is still too much making the pretty good Orioles a semi must play.

Jason Hammel has had a successful season and after a bunch of seasons in Colorado should be alright in this swinging the bat and maybe running the bases interleague setting. The Baltimore righty hasn’t been as good of late but he is still 6-2 with a 3.22 ERA in the toughest division in all of baseball. I don’t think it’s asking a ton for him to give us a quality outing while facing an opposing pitcher in the lineup and an overall cold team in the Braves.

Atlanta has a solid upside and a ton of potential with guys like McCann, Chipper, Heyward, Uggla and Bourne. But they have not really been showing that and at this price I’ll take my chances on Hammel and the surprising and somewhat hard-hitting O’s.

Rivers pick: Baltimore

For more information: Another huge day yesterday as the 300,000* Royals plus a ton along with the 300,000* Yankees took care of business. Just look above, that’s now 14 days in the good, compared to three in the bad, yes 14-3. There is nobody on this planet that is hotter or can rival me. More of the same today as I am never satisfied and will continue to bash that Crookie upside his head. Raising that bar with a 400,000* involving the Giants and Mariners to go along with a 200,000* Yankees-Nationals. Click now to purchase
