Yankees/Rangers over in Arlington.
I’m not the biggest sports betting advice totals guy on the planet and the over is a very square play. But the Yankees and Rangers in this hitter’s ballpark and with good but not great pitchers on the hill should flat out produce runs in the end.
Both New York and Texas are hard hitting lineups that can each put up crooked numbers in any frame and with Hiroki Kuroda’s struggles and Derek Holland being good but not great it’s hard for me to imagine a pitcher’s dual where the offenses don’t at least somewhat flex their muscles.
Just look at the offensive talent that will be on this field. Guys like Hamilton, Young, Kinsler, Cruz, Napoli, Granderson, Jeter, Rodriguez, Cano, Teixeira and on and on and on. We could see a 10-8 game but a 3-2 game seems unlikely. That equals upside and value so in a rare total play I’m playing the high here in Texas.
Meanwhile, big bank roller Bill Tanner has an NBA lock. Toronto Raptors @ Milwaukee Bucks
The Toronto Raptors and Milwaukee Bucks will meet up Monday night. Toronto is well out of playoff contention, while Milwaukee will need a miracle late in the season to get in. The Raptors are 22-41 and 11 games behind the 8th seeded 76ers, while the Bucks are 30-33 and 3 games behind.
Milwaukee is coming off a win on Saturday over the New Jersey Nets. In the win, Brandon Jennings led the way with 30 points. The leading scorer for Milwaukee is Monta Ellis, who came over in the middle of the season. He is scoring 20.4 points per game, for a team fourth in the league in scoring.
For Toronto, they are looking to finish the Bucks hopes now. The Raptors are coming off a loss Wednesday at Miami. On Sunday, the Raptors took on the Detroit Pistons. Toronto’s leading scorer has been Andrea Bargnani, who is scoring just shy of 20 points per game.
The Milwaukee Bucks are a double digit favorite in this game. We feel Milwaukee will blow Toronto out in this one. The Bucks are 29-34 against the spread and the Raptors are 34-28-1. The Bucks are 16-15 at home, while Toronto has won just 10 of 31 on the road. We like Milwaukee to win big.
Tanners Tip: Milwaukee Bucks -10
