Sixers vs. Magic Top NBA Free Lock Handicapper Picks

The real Matt Rivers of check in with a free pick for Monday  on the Oklahoma City Thunder.

It’s not going to be easy for Oklahoma City to win this game at Staples but in the end I do believe they get the job done.

Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and the Clippers are a highly talented and dangerous squad. They showed just that in the victory last week against Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and tonight’s visitors so I’m not going to say it’s impossible for LA to win this game at home but with revenge on their minds I do believe that the City will be able to walk off the court as the victor in a cover.

A few weeks back Scott Brooks’ squad came to this same arena and ran past Kobe and the Lakers. That Los Angeles squad is certainly a little bit older than this Los Angeles squad but the athleticism and overall ability of the Thunder should still be too much for the Clippers.

I expect a hard fought playoff type battle with a ton of big boys going at it. But I’m hard pressed to believe the Clips will beat the superior Thunder once again.

Rivers pick: Oklahoma City

Now to superstar handicapper Bill Tanner, who is on a 28-8 tear.

Philadelphia 76ers @ Orlando Magic

The Philadelphia 76ers and Orlando Magic will get together Monday night in a battle of Eastern Conference foes. Coming into Sunday, Philadelphia is the 8th seed, with a 31-28 record. The Magic are 34-225 on the season, and seeded 6th currently. Philadelphia is off Sunday, while the Magic take on Cleveland.

The 76ers are trying to hold on to get to the postseason, holding off the Milwaukee Bucks in the final several games of the season. Philadelphia is coming off a six point loss to the Nets on Friday. The 76ers are led in scoring by point guard Lou Williams with 15 points per game.

For Orlando, they are looking to overtake Atlanta for the fifth seed in the East. The Magic and Hawks have been battling back and forth all season long. The Magic are coming off a blow-out loss to the Hawks on Friday. Orlando’s Dwight Howard is averaging a double/double.

The Philadelphia 76ers have been pretty average against the spread; with a 29-29-1 record. Orlando comes into Sunday with a 30-29 record against the spread and have won 19 of 31 games at home.

Tanners Tip: Philadelphia 76ers -3.5

Top expert pick on today’s card: The Nationals over the total yesterday win big. That makes the POD 8-3 this MLB campaign. In other words, just what you expected. Get a highly footnoted and bullet point breakdown of why a baseball line tonight must be bet. Click now to purchase
