Masters Updated Odds For Round 3, MLB Baseball Handicapper Picks
Some big bank high rollers are unleashing on today’s card. The Masters odds have Rory McIlroy +300, Lee Westwood +600, Phil Mickelson +800, Fred Couples +1200, Bubba Watson +1200, Sergio Garcia +1200, and Jason Dufner +1500 as the favorites heading into Round 3.
The real Matt Rivers of OffshoreInsiders.com check in with a free pick for Saturday is on the Miami Marlins (+138) to Cincinnati.
Reasoning: Miami has looked awful in this 0-2 start to the season but don’t be fooled as the fish are a talented team that is going to be pretty darn good. Adding Jose Reyes was a great piece to go along with Hanley Ramirez and Giancarlo Stanton. This team is always a great play whenever getting a decent chunk of change back and especially in this new look season.
The Reds are looking strong once again with Joey Votto, Jay Bruce and Brandon Phillips and may win the NL Central when all is said and done. But they aren’t a club I would deem as great just yet and are laying a bit too much in this spot. To be honest with you I think the oddsmaker is putting a bit too much stock in the poor first two games which is silly.
Mat Latos was great in San Diego a few seasons ago and tailed off substantially after that. Now he goes from the most pitcher friendly ballpark at PETCO to a hitter’s paradise at Great American. The guy probably will be alright and hold his own with his new team but the ERA is going to rise and to be honest may be up against a better pitcher today in Ricky Nolasco.
Nolasco is the epitome of feast or famine and when on can be very very good, if not great. Granted when he is not on he can implode with the best of them and allow 10 runs in an inning as we saw a season ago. But at this price with the quality Miami offense in a hitter friendly ballpark there is no reason to not believe that we won’t see victory number one on the season for today’s visitors.
Top expert pick on this game: Miami Marlins
Some of today’s top MLB trends:
The Indians are 13-24 (-13.8 units) units since 2010 when they are off a loss in which they held the lead, as long as they are not a 120+ underdog.
The Phillies have gone under 23-4 when they did not allow a walk in a regular season game last time out and had less than 13 hits.
The Nationals are 22-7 (+18.8 Units) after a one run win
Minnesota is 10-30 (-18.8 Units) against AL East opponents
