Timberwolves vs. Rockets NBA Betting Odds

Senior Handicapper Matt Rivers of OffshoreInsiders.com has a free pick Monday is on the Minnesota Timberwolves (-2.5) versus Houston.

Reasoning: I really like the direction that this Minnesota franchise is heading in and with a superstar named Kevin Love along with young talent and a fun and quality point guard in Ricky Rubio I’ll back the Wolves here at home.

Timberwolves Rockets pick will be a shot to your man's painful parts

The Rockets have been pretty good of late, as evidenced by the six game winning streak, and do have some talent. But let’s face it, Houston’s window has closed as Yao and T-Mac are long gone and the visitors from Houston are all in all extremely mediocre. I’m not at all saying that Minnesota is the superior team of the two and if this game was in Houston clearly the favorite would have to be them. Kevin Martin, Kyle Lowry, Samuel Dalembert and the Rockets are good and should compete tonight with that six game winning streak but the road is never easy and I think they are not going to get lucky number seven.

Houston really hasn’t beaten a good team in this recent run. The Spurs were without Ginobili and rested Duncan so San Antonio the other day wasn’t exactly a force to be reckoned with and the other teams were literally the worst in the entire NBA in the likes of the Kings, Wizards, Hornets and Pistons. The win over the Blazers was pretty good but that was at home and was only by two so it wasn’t exactly a statement.

Minnesota did lose that last game in Utah but they won three in a row before that including the buzzer beater by Love at the Clippers and are playing some decent enough ball right now. They are at home here and I believe that will lead them to another victory as they get one step closer to that .500 mark.

Top expert pick on this game: Minnesota Timberwolves

For more information: It wasn’t easy but in the end the 300,000* Giants did exactly what I said they would and did it thanks to a late turnover exactly as I predicted. San Francisco was too great with the turnovers all season long and I knew it was going to bite them in the rear in a huge spot yesterday and bang.

Things have been really good on the hardwoods as well as evidenced by the 9-4 run and nothing at all changes today. Raising that bar with a 400,000* from Cincinnati between the Bearcats and Orangemen. Syracuse finally lost a game on Saturday to end the unbeaten run. Is today a second straight defeat or the beginning of a new winning streak? I’ll let you know as I cover this thing going away! Click now to purchase
