North Carolina vs. Texas Predictions NCAAB Odds
Senior Handicapper Matt Rivers of OffshoreInsiders.com has a free pick on North Carolina (-10) to Texas.
Reasoning: It’s a lot of lumber to lay but I’m not really all that sure what Rick Barnes’ Longhorns are right now and therefore to back the loaded Tar Heels at the Dean Dome is the right side. Texas has had a nice little recent run with guys like Kevin Durant, Avery Bradley, Jordan Hamilton and others but the cupboard is not nearly as full right now as there’s a solid scorer in J’Covan Brown and a bunch of mediocrity.
The ‘Horns are coming off of their best effort of the season thanks to a stellar second half and win against Temple in Austin but all in all this team should not be able to travel to Tobacco Road and compete against the far deeper and superior squad in North Carolina.
Roy Williams has the best team in the country and I mean that wholeheartedly. No they may not win it all in the end and aren’t heads and shoulders above the other few elite teams but Henson, Zeller, Barnes, Marshall and the Heels are a well rounded group that can put up a lot of points. It’s hard for me to believe that a young one trick pony UT group is going to be able to man up and compete.
Texas may be 9-2 but they have only beaten one real team in the Owls and are up against it today in what should turn out to be an 84-64 type of a final.
Top expert pick on this game: North Carolina
For more information: A small losing night last night as the 300,000* on Florida International could not cash that ticket like the 200,000* on the College of Charleston did and did with ease. No problem at all though as the winning has still been great and will continue to be great today. Raising that bar with a 400,000* on the gridiron between TCU and Louisiana Tech. Here we go!
