Cubs vs. Giants Sports Betting Predictions Senior Sports Handicapper Matt Rivers has a sports betting pick on Tuesday is on the Chicago Cubs (+129) to San Francisco.

Reasoning: Matt Garza was not good in that last start against the Braves but besides that the guy has been pretty tremendous of late. Even in that last outing it was more of his defense letting him down as only three of the six runs were earned. He has now given up eight runs in his last 30 innings and is so much better than the 6-10 record it’s not even funny. A giant underdog will have San Fran backers singing a sad Vogelson

Ryan Vogelsong has had an absolutely amazing season that cannot even be comprehended. He was a journeyman at best and then out of baseball for a while. Somehow the righty came back this season and has been great and even worthy of an All-Star appearance. But things have been a tad more difficult of late, still good, but not as good and with the lack of hitting the Giants have been displaying he better be perfect tonight if he has any chance to best Garza.

The Cubs underachieved this season as per usual but lately they have been a little better or at least a little more competitive I should say. Guys like Castro, Ramirez, Barney, Soriano and Soto are capable and a lot more so than Bruce Bochy’s offense which has proven to be pretty much allergic to scoring.

San Francisco has been fading away of late, as we saw once again yesterday, and to get quite possibly the superior starter and definite better lineup along with a bullpen that may even be better thanks to the Giants’ injuries I am more than alright with grabbing whatever I can with the Cubbies here by the bay.

Top expert pick on this game: Cubs
